PROGRAMME 2013
2013 marks the 10th year anniversary of our Continuing Education(CE) programme, and we are proud to announce that we have had close to 10.000 applicants to date.
The two-year EU-funded project ENCEPA was concluded appropriately in Oslo in June with the extensive symposium “Expanding Territories”. We are now developing a new EU project called ”Facing the Audience.”
Documentation of our symposia is an important aspect of CE. We are currently working on documenting the symposia “New Dimensions” and “Monsters of Reality”. Most of our documentation is available online and can be downloaded from our homepage.
If performing arts is to evolve, it must engage with the outside world. As part of this process, CE is now turning its attention to the Middle East and North Africa, which we find truly exciting.
The Danish National School of Performing Arts has gone through some restructuring. CE has merged with the Centre of Development, resulting in a much closer and mutually beneficial collaboration with the basic education programmes.
Every year CE offers a range of workshops, master classes, international symposia and theatre tours to different parts of the world. The Department is striving to build a bridge between theory and practice and create platforms for interdisciplinary collaboration. We are constantly looking for and introducing new tendencies, methods and ways of working for the benefit of the Danish performing arts scene.
An efficient two-woman team consisting of Kerstin Anderson and Miriam Frandsen generate, together with the copartners, the ideas and organize the events.
